My family home place in North Carolina has been in our family since 1790, but I've spent the better part of three decades in the USAF. I've lived in 10 states and 3 foreign countries. Neither the prevalence of something in a place or the popularity of it there make it from that place. Coke is the most popular soft drink in the world. When I lived in the midwest and the northeast Coke dominated the market. According to Guinness: "largest global brand in the world based on sales."
